Engagement Love - Adreanna & Allen

Adreanna and Allen are getting married in August at Bosch Bahai School in Santa Cruz, California.  They met two years ago while on Bahai piligrimage in Haifa, Israel.  One thing that I'm the most excited about when it comes to their wedding is having the ceremony in the redwoods and the reception on the beach.  That's super original!

{These gorgeous photos were taken by the extremely lovely and talented Razi Wilson of Razi Wilson Photography. Make sure to check her out for your next engagement session, pregnancy session, family session, etc...she's really great!}

Monday

Entrepreneur of the Year - Weddings & Events!

{My mom took this.  She didn't know how to use the camera so in the middle she whispered, "Is it on?"  I turned it on for her and ocntinued. Everyone laughed very very hard...it was hilarious.}

This weekend was the Stiletto Women In Business Awards where My Simply Perfect Weddings and Events was a finalist for the "Entrepreneur of the Year" for Weddings and Events.  Now, when I received the email letting me know that I was a finalist, I was so honored to have been nominated at all that I didn't care if I won or not.  The nomination alone was super major in my eyes.

I totally won!

Thank you so so so much to everyone for all of your support.  It really means the workd to me.  Get ready for more amazing weddings and events...This is totally our year.

Thursday

Janice & Tim

{Janice and her father right before walking down the aisle}

Janice and Tim were married at Canon Chapel on the Emory University campus and their reception was at the King Plow Event Gallery and Bold American did all of the delicious catering.  Janice and Tim were every planner's dream.   They knew what they wanted and were so amazingly sweet and gracious.  Although Tim had to move to Geneva months before the wedding for work, he was still incredibly involved and so excited to be marrying Janice.  Their wedding was rich with cultural traditions.  One of which was the Tea Ceremony where Janice and Tim bowed before their parents and offered them tea as a thank you.  I cry at every wedding and this Tea Ceremony was so beautiful that I had to walk around the corner and fix my face.  In true form, I found it extremely hard to pick just a few pictures from this wedding.  Get comfy!

Fresh Fridays - Florence & Blake Edition Part II

I don't normally have two different photographers at one wedding but this situation was unique.  Mauricio Dumet of Sharp Snap Photography was kind enough to capture Florence and Blake's wedding as well.  It is so interesting to see the same event through two different photographer's eyes. Mauricio also does family portraits and other lifestyle photography. Check him out!
