My Simply Perfect Kids!

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to plan the first birthday party for a special little girl.  During the planning, I realized that a lot children's parties are just miniature dinner parties for adults.  Follow me for a second: I wanted the party to be over-the-top but still fun for kids.  A floral centerpiece for a kid's party is a waste of flowers.  I decided to put goldfish crackers down the center of the table as the table runner.  While that was my favorite design element to-date, I wanted to switch it up a bit.

I thought about what my nieces, nephew and friend's children would like to do at a party and it was easy. Kid's want to have fun and dress up and have tea parties and be silly. We all know that the first birthday party is for the parents but what about all of the other birthdays?  There are so many little details involved with a kid's party that make them unique and fun so I dove right in!

From the first birthday to a Lego party all the way to a tea party, you just can't go wrong with My Simply Perfect Kids planning the party!  Take a look at some of our themed parties and try to melt from the overwhelming cuteness from these beauties!

"Tea Time"
Let's play dress up and wear our mother's jewelry and eat little cakes and cookies and drink juice out of tea cups!

"Baking Party"

Some of the most fun I've had with my niece was when we're backing together.  Now, we're just baking cupcakes and she's pretending to mix the batter but she's really just stirring within an inch of the spatula.  It's everything!  Have your children's friends come over and decorate cupcakes and cookies and mini cakes.  All the fun!

"The King and I"
I'm sorry but how insanely cute is it for the kids to dress up in medieval costumes, drink juice out of huge, golden goblets and chomp on turkey legs all while celebrating their birthday?!

"Field Day"
There is nothing worse than trying to get a bunch of energetic kids to sit still.  This is where the field day party comes in!  All the kids will show up in their athletic gear ready to play all day!  Not only will the kids enjoy all of the activities but they'll also burn off all that extra sugar from the birthday cake!

 {we tried really hard with this one!!!}

"Pretty Little Ballerina"
I don't know about you guys but I'm pretty much obsessed with Misty Copeland right now. I love when little girls can be little girls and get dressed in tutus, eat cookies and cake and be sweet. It's the perfect idea for a little girl's party!

{anyone wanna talk about these tutu juice boxes??!!!}

 {ballerina cookies? Stop!}
{tutus on the cake?!  Get out of here!}

"Lego Party!"
Everything about this Lego party gave me life.  I love having a party where everyone is building Legos of all shapes and sizes and presenting them at the end.  The party doesn't stop with building Legos though...we have the most AMAZING Lego juice boxes covered in Legos.  People won't be able to stop talking about them!  Then we have the Lego cakes that look like a huge Lego!  You guys, we even had Lego pizza...I can't take it!

 {stop it with the Lego cookies!!}
Relax and let us do the work...
Thank you Catherine Ritchie Park of My Life Photography for capturing these little honey pies and your insanely talented eye!
