Renette & Paul!

Renette and Paul were married on a sunny day in Midtown Atlanta at Olmsted.  I've talked about how much I love observing my couples because I love seeing how they interact with each other and how they make their relationship work.  Being a planner, you're involved with very personal details of your client's lives so sometimes the stress gets pretty high.

Renette and Paul consulted on every decision and I can't stress how important that is.  Every once in a while someone will have to give up what they originally wanted for their wedding but these two made sure that they both walked away feeling happy and joyful about their day.  Being that most of our meetings were regarding logistics, I wasn't always able to see the playful side until I saw their engagement pictures.  Photographer Jolye Toi captured some of the liveliest, most color engagement pictures I've seen!  Get comfy and enjoy Renette and Paul's beautiful day!

Tuesday

Shelby & James!

Shelby & James were married (again) in Malibu this summer.  I say "again" because their first wedding was in Australia.  Shelby moved to Australia a few years ago and life just took off from there!  Not that life wasn't happening when she lived in the states but that's where she met her James.  It's a but like a fairytale.  Move to Australia, meet this super handsome, loving guy all while staying your sweet, pure self.

When I saw their wedding pictures, I was kind of dying because they looked like an ad for a magazine.  Are we seeing these shots on the beach?!  Do you see Shelby's hair with the baby's breath and flowers?!  The way her dress flows in the wind, the laughter all around, her stunning bridal party...I can't get enough!

Monday

Ashley & Ed!

A few weeks after Ashley got engaged, she sent me an email asking about my services.  We met up for coffee and completely hit it off.  I'm constantly observing my clients.  To me, part of being an exceptional planner is being able to read your clients and understand their needs even before they're expressed.  She and I were on the same page throughout the entire planning process because she trusted me.  I've talked about how important trust is between my clients and me and how it contributes to the overall success of the wedding.

Seeing everything come together was insanely satisfying.  From the food to the décor to the dress, Ashley and Ed's wedding was a dream.

See You In 2015!

You know when at the end of an action film the hero walks away from the blown up building, ultimately saving the day?  Well, that's what I thought when I first saw this picture. Yes, I got all of that from this picture but it made me think about all of the adventures that I've had this year.  From closing down Peachtree Street for guests to cross to a reception to orchestrating weddings across the country, this year has been pretty epic.  As a planner, I get requests from my clients that are simple and some that are challenging.  Finding the solution to unforeseen issues and seemingly impossible requests, is what makes my job so exciting.

As 2014 quickly comes to a close, I am so grateful for my relationships with clients, vendors and other wedding industry professionals whom I've have had the pleasure to work with.  Thank you for making 2014 so memorable!  See you in 2015!

Sunday

Alicia & Walter!

Alicia and Walter were married on a beautiful Summer afternoon at the stunning 3109 Piedmont Estate.  Working with them was really exciting to me because they were so in love and had a very clear vision of what they wanted their wedding day to be.  Alicia is a foodie and she made it clear that the food was going to be a big part of the day.  Working closely with A Legendary Event, her perfect brunch was executed.  Whenever she talked about Walter, Alicia would get this light in her eyes and a huge smile on her face.  From our planning meetings to Alicia walking down the aisle, one thing was for sure, their love was the real thing.

I'm not normally a fan of a bride changing for the reception but Alicia basically shut it DOWN with her reception dress.  Just wait for it...
